The German government’s 40-year energy plan is a “revolution in the field of energy supply,” Chancellor Angela Merkel said in Berlin upon presenting the plan. With this far-reaching, comprehensive plan Germany’s energy supply will become the most efficient and the most environmentally sound worldwide, the Chancellor emphasized. At the same time, energy will remain affordable for both households and businesses.
